Oh yes hanging out with the lace makers of Burano ( Venice)

video
Okay so if you ever end up in Venice - take the extra boat trip out to Burano Island and visit the Lace Museum. The museum has the most  heartbreakingly GORGEOUS brain melting lace collection and real  lace makers !  The ladies  hangout and produce the tiniest most intricate handmade Burano lace and chat and laugh and are so totally lovely. I spent a couple days drawing them and watching their impossible little "punta in aria " ( stitches in the air ).
